The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviors to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency.\n*When booking online, please include child’s name and age in the note section.\nInstructor\nCanadian Red Cross Certified Youth Leader\nPrerequisite\nAges 11 to 15* (or must have completed Grade 5)\nCourse Content\n\nHow to be responsible and demonstrate leadership\nHow to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviors\nInformation on children’s developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage\nHow to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies\nHow to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices, and promote safe behaviors\nFirst aid skills\nThe business of babysitting\n\nDuration: 7 to 8 hours.\n*Please ensure that your child brings a lunch.  They will not be permitted to leave the building unattended.  For convenience, we do have a microwave and fridge at our facility.\nCost: $70.00\n\n
