
Blended Intermediate First Aid (Red Cross) – SPRUCE GROVE

The Red Cross Intermediate (formerly Standard) First Aid training program combines online theory learning (self-paced) with a hands-on, in-class practical skills session. Providing a fun and comprehensive Intermediate First Aid certification, including CPR and AED training, all while allowing flexibility with the online portion done at your own pace; essentially, you study theory online before attending a practical skills session to complete the course. This first aid course covers everything from life-threatening emergencies to minor bumps and scrapes and is recognized by Alberta OHS.
The date that you choose is the date of the in-class session. The online modules must be completed PRIOR to attending the in-class session. You will not be permitted to attend without completion of the online component, as it covers majority of the theory based knowledge required to complete the in-person session activities.
Your certificate will not be issued until both components are successfully completed.

- First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest

- Environmental Emergencies
- Poisons (includes opioid poisoning)
*This level of First Aid Certification is most commonly required by employers.
Duration: 6-8 hours online learning, 6-8 hours teaching time.
Certification: 3-year certification in Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (Level C)
A permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you upon successfully completing the course.
You will also be able to view your manual and certification online at any time through your MyRedCross account. Certification is valid for 3 years.
