Learn how to save lives by enrolling in our comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED for adults, children, and infants. This course is for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Intermediate First Aid and CPR. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED. Complies with CSA Z1210-17 Regulation.
*This level of First Aid Certification is most commonly required by employers.

Duration: 14 hours teaching time (includes practical exercises and theory)
Certification: 3-year certification in Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (Level C)
A permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you upon successfully completing the course. You will also be able to view your manual and certification online at any time through your MyRedCross account. Certification is valid for 3 years.

Working in BC?
The Workplace Emergency First Aid (WEFA) course is approved by WorkSafe BC. This self-study course is completed after taking the pre-requisite course: Intermediate (Standard) First Aid/CPR or Basic (Emergency) First Aid. The WEFA certificate is equivalent to the BC Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 certificate.
The Canadian Red Cross issues your certificate which is valid for up to 3 years*.
*Please note that the date of issuance and expiry date illustrated on your WEFA certificate will correspond to the dates entered on your Intermediate (Standard) or Basic (Emergency) First Aid certificate.
